Well guys as well all know, we had some spectacular times in the GTRRL. Started so many years ago and the series grew from a bunch of nobodies wanting to race, to a championship platform that many series on GTPlanet are now building from. But sadly as many great things, it eventually came to a close. We have become busy with real life stuff and many of us don't have the time like we use to to do competitive racing. Nothing will change the great races and battles we had and I'm glad to see the relationships we built with one another.
So I'm calling all drivers back here to the home of the GTRRL, and rekindle the magic we made on the track. I am calling for an official fairwell tour to send the GTRRL flying into sunset. I am calling for one last chance to trade paint, battle at high speeds, turn left and right and battle for one last championship under the GTRRL banner. No matter the game, no matter tracks, I say we give it one last chance to give the GTRRL what it deserves.
What do you say?!
After conversations with select GTRRL veterans, we have came to the conclusion that our fairwell tour should be loosely based on our Touring Car Series from seasons passed that gave us the best racing out of all of our series. To refresh all of you, or anyone new, this series will consist of defaultly tuned touring cars that will be different each week. Everyone will be in same type of car but the colors on said cars will be different depending on the teams. Most of these cars will come from the Touring Car DLC that came out a year ago and some race modified street cars. The official list will be released as we think of them.
Each Saturday Night will consist of two, fairly short races. The tire selection thus far is unknown but will definitely either be medium or soft tires. The first races starting order will be set via qualifying (procedure unknown), and the second races starting order will be reverse order of the first race. Each race will be on a different track with a different car so be sure to be ready for both come saturday. This will be done for 6 weeks giving us 12 total races for this championship
Here is the list of tracks that have been voted by the veterans of the league based on the 3 categories of tracks in GT5:
